The Course
A challenging, yet accessible course which is easily walkable. Relatively flat, with little distance from each green to the next tee. Unique terrain and lake views make this course a must-play for golf enthusiasts both local and visiting the area.
The Pro
SPGC is managed by Class "A" PGA of Canada Professional Mike Gascho, who has been playing this course since he was 8 years old. Mike offers junior golf camps, men's and women's clinics, teen clinics and private or semi-private lessons throughout the season. When he's not teaching he can often be found in the Pro Shop or out on the course.
The Facilities
Established in 1899, this historic golf club includes a public 9-hole course, driving range, putting and chipping greens, and a fully-licensed club house. The deck overlooking Sturgeon Lake is the perfect spot for a post-round snack and cold drink, or better yet, a quick recharge before heading out for a second 9 holes. Free docking facilities and cart rentals are available.
