Course Etiquette - Speed of Play
All players are encouraged to play “Ready Golf”
To help everyone get the maximum benefit and pleasure out of their round, we encourage all players to observe a few simple guidelines while out on the course. With the exception of competitive and match play, we promote the practice of “Ready Golf” to help everyone get around the course more quickly.
General play:
No more than four players in a group.
Keep up with the group in front of you.
Let faster groups behind you play through.
On the tee:
Tee-off as soon as the group ahead is clear.
Shorter hitters, or the player who is ready, should hit first. (Save “honours” for match play.)
Watch for other players’ shots and always carry an extra ball - just in case!
On the fairway:
No honours - hit when you’re ready and when it’s safe to do so.
Be ready to play - when the way is clear, go directly to your ball.
Lost ball? All players should hit first, then assist in the hunt.
On the green:
Save time by parking your clubs between the green and the next tee.
Study your putt while others are putting. Be ready to putt before your turn.
Mark your score on the way to the next tee (or while others are teeing off).
